Welcome to Fall!
I welcome this time of year with acceptance of the things in life that I can’t change. I’m happy to see the beautiful leaves falling and the trees focusing their energy back into their roots. Life cycles are hard to accept sometimes but I’ve developed a strong focus on the things that I can change in my life. One of these self-reflective priorities is my posture!
I, like many of you, have a physical position that I’m in for most of my day. Looking down, reaching slightly forward with upper body and hinging from my lumbar spine while doing the work I love. After many years of functioning the same way I can attest to the need for change and reflection. Sometimes this is easy and sometimes I need help.
I utilize acupuncture to help circulation when muscles get tight and build up scar tissue. Our team helps each other to see where our bodies tend to get stuck and how we can support optimal blood flow. This greatly reduces the stress that we experience which affects our digestive functions, emotional stress, sleep, pain, brain function and overall sense of well-being.
Maybe some of you can relate to this because you spend a lot of time in chairs, deskwork and repetitious laborious tasks? Please take a minute to see if your body needs a little help and give us a call! We also see more upper back/neck pain in the fall due to the season’s association to lung health. The season also represents the Large Intestine so we support a gentle bowel cleanse this time of year as well!
