Frequently Asked Questions

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a Chinese medical procedure which involves inserting thin needles at specified sites of your body to treat various disorders. The needles stimulate your nerve impulses which produce anesthesia, promote therapy, relieve pain, and treat disease.

Does Acupuncture hurt?

The acupuncture needles are ultra slim, slightly larger than a dog whisker. When inserted into “meaty” parts of your body they normally aren’t felt. Needles inserted into “bony” body parts, such as hands and feet, can be felt by some patients who describe it as a fleeting prick sensation.
